About Soft Surrogate
My name is Kevin Moore and I am a graphic designer from Kelowna, BC Canada. I live in a cozy home with my wife, Elizabeth, our son Fox, and our pets. My design journey began in the year 2000, So I guess that means I have been doing this for roughly 20 years. I started messing around in junior high school making collages of my favourite bands. When my sister took me to my first all-ages gig, I fell in love with local music and started frequenting every local show I could.
This led to me offering crappy Photoshop work to these bands for free. Soon enough I got my act together, started taking it seriously, and got a few paying jobs doing design for local bands. My first big gig was an album packaging job for a well-known local band in 2001. I had no idea what I was doing and learned along the way. This band, and the other bands I worked for, ended up touring or getting signed, and in turn, my client base broadened simply by word of mouth. Over the years I have developed a large clientele that ranges from architects, insurance brokers, and hockey teams all the way to a staggering number of rock, pop, and heavy metal bands.
I pride myself in being able to work in various disciplines including branding, print, and packaging, as well as social media design. As a freelancer, I live to create exceptional and functional design. Great design can only happen when it successfully meets my client’s needs and ultimate vision.
